Spam. A four letter word that potentially has enough hate to make people explode. We all know what spam is and it's got worse over the years. I mean it was always present in email where by some company get there hands on your email and start sending you there crap and then you'd spend 15 minutes or so sorting through the spam crap that your junk mail was meant to sort out for you. But after a while it takes it's toll, especially on blog websites because spam bots always seem to get hold of your comments script and then constantly attack you with your own code. EVIL!

But it's worse now, spam isn't in just emails it's on the internet now as well. It's on major sites such as YouTube. I would take a rough guess that there is at least 1 spam comment on every video, and they all tend to relate to the same things! Free give away competitions, Dating online etc.. I mean have we actually given up and let spam win? It seems on YouTube no one cares and to be honest many other people would probably have the attitude of well it doesn't affect me so I don't really care. We should all care because everyone one us will be affected by spam at one point!

I mean it's a shame because years ago if you wanted to subscribe to a online newsletter of some sort from your favorite website you could of put in your email down with no worries and receive what you asked for. Now many people (myself included) think twice and are even worried about putting there email down incase it's swept up by Spam bots which email you crap daily.

And it's also affecting those contact form's that appear on many websites. A great invention without a doubt but once a spam bot get's hold of it, you've got a very hard job stopping it from taking over. I mean you wonder why you get those what seems dumb questions at the end of the form that you may fill out asking to verify your a human. How degrading is that? That website is basically saying "Sorry you may not be a human so your going to actually give evidence to prove you are" I mean come on! People have to actually put implement these systems to stop spam now.

It's quite a sad moment to be honest. But whats even worse is that the spam half the time isn't even in a human language! I mean I've got emails before with just loads of zero's and one's in it and then some weird webdings type square thing going across the email, does the spam actually care what it's spamming anymore? Oh and those Junk Mail inbox's you get with your email client, they don't do any good. Expect get the spam out of your normal inbox but then when you come to clear it there's still another 50 Spam emails..

Blocking the spammers email address or IP doesn't seem to slow it down much either anymore and do you know why? Because there is are like another 200 spam email address waiting to continue the spamming when one email address fails! It's like watching bee's around honey! Spam ceraintly know there multiplication tables!

All I can offer is simply. Never link your email address anywhere on the web otherwise you've already gave a invitation to a spam bot to take it and abuse it, and find the IP Addresses of Spammers and block and report them to your ISP. The war shall be won by humans eventually!
