The Terany of Maths: Fear the numbers!

If you know me then you'll know that I hate maths, I always have and always will, but schools teach it so there's no getting away from it. I am who I am, but me hating Maths is quite strange as my dad is an account that is just stupidly good with numbers, obviously when I was born the maths gene in my dad wasn't passed down, so I got the raw deal there. I'm more inclined to say that I got my mum's maths gene! But for everything else I am much like my dad. Which is good because I can breathe easily ruling out the conclusion of being adopted. Then again I do have curly hair and no one in the family does. So..... Anyway on with the post!

Okay so from the opening paragraph you can tell that maths is my enemy but to me many parts of maths are just pointless for nearly 80% of jobs in the world. I mean, if I don't need to do maths in a job I want, why should I be forced to learn it. This is the previous years of James speaking when Maths was part of his timetable because of the silly education bored forcing upon everyone, I hated it, and even when I could do some mathematical calculations, I didn't really care! It's just all numbers to me...

Now in sixth form, I am now re-taking GCSE Maths because I didn't pass it first time, which I have no one to blame but myself, but can you blame me? Seems I hated every second of it and if you hate a lesson chances are your not going to take in much information about the lesson. Which was the case with me as a I got a very poor D grade in my exam. I knew I hadn't passed the exam when I came out of exam room, so the delay of getting my results and finding out was inevitable.

One thing that I've noticed is that Maths resolves heavily around dare I say it... ALGEBRA! I hate that word, it's like a forbidden word to me, but Maths seems to be using it so much these days here's a example of bad it actually is:

You have a sum of 2 + 2, we could just let you add two and two together and you will get 4, but to make your life hell we're going to make it 2x + 2a so we can confuse you and make your brain cry.

Also has anyone stopped to consider the fact of using algebra in everyday life? No? I'll tell you why no one has... Because literally 99.9% of people once they pass Maths won't even care anymore (Well except a maths teacher or someone in a maths related job) You won't need algebra in any part of your day to day life, I mean it's not like some shopkeeper is going to say:

"You can have this chocolate bar, but only if you can tell me the value of x"

"I'll just take the chocolate thanks, here's the money, keep the change, get help!"

So to sum up... Maths = Not good, James = Epic win

Ha, yeah, math sucks (even though I'm good at it).

and I think you forgot this in your equation:

    Math < James < Fire G
