Yes it's October 31st, and it's surprisingly bright and sunny in England, but of course cold! As you can see James' Blog has got into the Halloween scene with a special Halloween theme for the blog. I always like to do things like this, although I'm far too old to go trick or treating I can still do something right?! We've got for a bit of ghost and ghouls image going on the blog and I hope your not scared to much! This is probably the shortest article ever but then again whats a Halloween theme without a Halloween post on the 31st! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
I have only recently began to use the service known as twitter but since day one I've seemed to fall in love with it. In my opinion the idea of twitter is genius, but the idea of twitter is often mis-understood alot and is compared to sites like MySpace and Facebook (No im not linking them, you should know them already!) Although I guess twitter is a sort of social networking site, it's defiantly in a league of it's own if someone classes it as one.
Last night my friend Fire G, his friend Andrew and myself have recorded the first podcast episode for the new podcast series FS Air, we currently have and scheduled five episode for the series and the first one was recorded last night (For Fire G it was the afternoon and for Andrew it was the morning. Screw time zones! there all bulls**t) but time zones aside we managed to find a slot where we could all get online and record!
As I promised, im now going to share with you the new post thumbnail script that James' Blog is using, this is the first WordPress tutorial ever posted on James' Blog and officially starts the new WordPress tutorial category! In this tutorial you'll be learning how to combine PHP and metadata to create unqiue post thumbnails which can be defined in the Manage post section of WP-Admin
James' Blog is now using lovely post thumbnails on it's articles. It's something that I've been wanting to add into the blog for quite some time but with failed attempts of getting a simple enough system, well thanks to my friend Fire G, he sent me the script thats he's using on his own blog over at Fire Studios Although there are WordPress plugins that handle post thumbnails, most seem to be feature happy and kind of distract you from the raw functions you need
Myself I've always liked the idea of Halloween, one special day where you can knock on any door and ask them for sweets! Genius! Now thats im 16 I am sensible and man enough to let the 10 years olds do this now and I become that random guy. Halloween tends to be one of those mixed views topic, and sadly the older generation seem to be quite against it, now the fact of getting your house egg/flour bombed by "Bad-Ass" teenagers is probably the main contributing point of why many people dislike Halloween (I have a BB Gun incase any one tries it), but then you see small children with there parents dressed up walking in groups going from house to house you have to step and thinking "bless" I mean it's all for the youngers really, there going to have fun, and opening the door and giving them sweets will make them happy because im sure all there brain activity on Halloween will be "SWEEEEEEEEETSSSSSS!"
