Well faithful James' Blog readers, you have been noticing some interesting errors occuring of the past few days. And im sorry if you we're unlucky enough to see them, ever since the new forum has been introduced I have also had to modify the blog to accomadate the new intergrated database system, and over course intergration being like a good old plugin saying "Doing this stuff it's not meant to do" and WordPress' SQL didn't like being changed either.
A interesting error that has been found was comments on various articles we're recorded but not actually displayed in the specified area, luckily James' Blog has a automated daily database backup feature and I simply restored a older version of the database (But managed to find a day where everything was working and no data would be lost) I can only assume that is because I performed a WordPress downgrade Which is really documented, so Im guessing it's not recommended. But in order for the new forum to function correctly I require a older version of WordPress (Well untill bbPress 1.0 becomes stable) This has now been fixed and all comments seem to be showing on the posts.
The PHP errors you may/not seen are also because a new system is in place to not only post this information on the blog but also post it on the forum in the special section James' Blog. Any updates on the blog will be posted on here from now! However because this also uses the WP database it was also refusing to do it for a while still the tables we're set straight and everything fell into place as if you we're the one that just didn't see that one last piece of jigsaw on the floor! Love technology for what it's worth!
Well a short post but I needed to tell you all why James' Blog has been looking like it's ill and need of attenion but hopily I've nursed the old girl back to health!
