I will admit that towards the end of 2008, I was not active much so there wasn't any new content posted, I have paid for this by having to nice spike in my traffic graph and also have -16% on my Google Analytics dashboard, it's not pretty but I wasn't exactly expecting a graph continously going up even when I didn't post anything new. But in my what sounds like court room defence I was busy for my college work. It's simple as that. Priorities are the word here. I love my blog, I spend to much time on it and it distracts me in college when im a on PC, but college work is important and right now in the current status of the world getting a job after I finish is going to be hard. So I've got to make sure I do well.
The loss of traffic to James' Blog however needs to be recovered from. I don't like figures that are negative, and to be really blunt it pisses me off. But it's my fault even though I explained why, but im now devising the plan of action to regain the traffic figures. I have already begun doing various things that are on the plan. I'll summarise the plan in a bitesize form for you all.
New Layout (Completed):
I kept the new layout and it's development underwraps as a 2009 suprise for you all, it's really turned out well and I've got postive responces from everyone who I've asked, so looking good on the visual front. The new theme Renovatio, will be the face of James' Blog for a while, as I spent alot of time on it.
Tutorials and screencasts:
I released the two tutorials I referenced in one of my news updates post, they are the PHP Uploader and the Divless Navigation tutorial (HTML and CSS). I had already started working on them but due to my PC frying one of it's compontents I was not able to finish them, until I actually got my PC fixed. Due to all the information being inaccessible as the power supply for the hard drive was the component that died. But I've got more tutorials planned and also a possibility of screencasts, I've never really tried doing a screencast, but I said that about podcasts too, and now im part of FS-Air!
Articles:
I never really considered it, but now I've begun to start writing articles, typically talking website development, I kicked started the articles archive with "Getting ready for CSS3" based on the FS-Air podcast Episode 6 (Going out on Friday) but I enjoyed writing about something and it was a change from writing tutorials so we're all happy! And once more I can see future prospects of an article series, so have a weekly series of articles about a certain area say in Website Development!
More coming soon:
There basically my main three areas on my plan of action, it will take a couple of months to re-build but im prepared to do it and im inspired by the whole new look of James' Blog, it's seemed to give me more creativity!
What about the man himself?
Well for 2009, I don't plan on going anywhere, I mean im in College so I've got plenty of work to concentrate on and focus on my summer AS exams (Woo freaking hoo...) but I intend to be here as much as possible. Granted I may not be able to be here everyday, but I'll certainly be doing my best to at least login and check the blog at any chance I get. My college hasn't actually blocked my blog URL or twitter (Service which I use) so maybe when no ones looking do a quick login at college, who knows. Main thing is I don't intend to disappear or suddenly leave the country!

I think you confuse people when you say "college" since you're not actually in college, you're in "High School" or "Secondary School". Just an observation ;P .
Looking forward to seeing how JB goes in '09!
