The internet traffic war begins!

You may have read my post "Plan of Action for 2009" I referenced that I will be posting some new tutorials very soon, and I think you'll find I've followed through on that statement, in the past two weeks I have released three tutorials that I was meant to be released in 2008! Like I said thanks to my PC dying before Christmas I was unable to continue or finish any of them as the information was on a hard drive which had no power supply to it. But I completed all three, and even better all three of them got featured on Good-Tutorials so my traffic graph is now starting to look up and as a even bigger bonus I now have a nice percentage of +27.62% on my Google Analytics Dashboard!

Like I referenced in the plan of action post, traffic had significantly dropped and infact I think the increase figure that I have now was about that same in a negative percentage about 1 month ago, so essentially this is the recovery stage of the plan of action and currently restoring the lost traffic, we're about there now, I think, so I can really start concentrating, instead of checking my traffic stats every 5 seconds knowing that it only updates daily (Trust me it's like OCD)

So I got my three latest tutorials on Good Tutorials, and I get quite a bit of traffic and referrals from there, so im pleased about that, but also I have decided to go a step further and submit a couple of my tutorials to the big website Pixel2Life If you haven't heard of them then you need to click the link because there are an amazing tutorial site, there library of tutorials is massive and they provide high quality tutorials oh and did I mention it takes about two weeks to get your submission approved/disapproved? Not because there lazy, but because of the sheer amount of tutorials that are submitted on a daily basis. I have submitted two of my tutorials as essentially a test run, im currently on page 10 of the pending tutorial list and submitted these tutorials last week. Im waiting to see if there up to the standard of what Pixel2Life approves, but hopefully with the new 2009 layout, I'll get + on presentation. But ideally it's about the content itself.

While I wait to see if my tutorials will get through on Pixel2life, I've currently been writing articles weekly, I've designed them to be a sort of filler for when there's no tutorials say if im busy with college work or just can't get to PC i'll write some interesting articles to keep me busy and hopefully to keep my readers happy. Don't get me wrong there not some random write up in 2 seconds job. I plan them much like tutorials and decide when they shall be submitted. Still like I said there a little filler for a short couple of day gap that would be present without them.

Well thats essentially it, just about recovered from the traffic loss and now pressing on, hopefully got a chance of getting a tutorial or two featured on Pixel2Life and just generally seeing more traffic to James' Blog again! Just want to take the time to say, thank you to all the James' Blog readers/subscribers! I Don't want this to sound like some acceptance speech but the people that subscribe, read and comment my posts is the primary reason why I continue to write content regularly, post tutorials and generally have fun blogging. Thanks James' Blog readers!
