I am a owner of the lovely PlayStation Portable (PSP) and I think it's one of Sony's great achivements, in my opinion I think it's th best handheld out there and possibly will be for a while. I was fortunate to be bought one for Christmas a couple of years ago, and since then have always loved it. I love my PSP, but how I use it my sound like I abuse it, you see the PSP has firmware installed which is essentially the life functions of the PSP. It controls all the settings of the PSP and also manages all of the capabilities, however Sony also have firmware in place to control some features which are restricted and locked away in each firmware update. However a handful of developers have managed to decrypt and rewrite Sony's Official Firmware and create a custom firmware, which unlocks all of the PSP set restrictions and allows to run great programs such as homebrew, emulators, ISO's etc. So essentially I have a hacked PSP which I can do anything with!
If your in the know then you will be aware that there are loads of homebrew applications out there. Programs that have been created by developers to achieve functions that a normal PSP could not, infact a great example of this was Sony told people that a Sat Nav mod would be implemented into the PSP a couple fo years ago, but thanks to custom firmware a developer beat Sony to it by a year! But yes your hacking and decrypting Sony's firmware code but in the end, we purchased the PSP for good money, so should we have this right?
Anyway with my little speech about custom firmware and all that, let get down to the real deal. Recently I came across a Homebrew application called RemoteJoy. I had seen this homebrew before during the 3.xx custom firmware series but it seemed to of died during 4.xx updates but suddenly it's reappeared in the 5.xx custom firmware series, you'll find that various homebrew will be updated by the developer in occordance to firmware updates. But anyway RemoteJoy is a homebrew application that allows to generate your PSP screen on your PC in a window via USB. Pretty cool as you can make your PSP screen like 10 times bigger plus be able to play a game in a whole new way! Here's a quick vid of me showing you what it's like:
If your having problems loading the video or can't see video only sound you might need to install some AVI Codecs:

It's basically just generating your PSP screen (Much like pluggin a external monitor into a laptop) on your computer and relaying the information via the USB connection. It's pretty fun so I thought I'd share it with you all
