I've just finished the new multiple level navigation bar for the site. This change comes after I realised im providing content such as tutorials, resources etc but the only way to view these is either searching for them or look through archives and by referrals from other sites, but to take advantages of the this I've decided to intergrate a multiple level navigation into the current navigation bar and provide a much more extensive navigation. It's nothing to fancy just using drop downs via list but there is a little bit jQuery being used for the fade effects, but nothing to heavy on the code front
So for the last 45 mins or so I've been developing the new multiple level navigation on my localhost. I've basically been developing a new navigation which includes alot more than just the basic about, contact etc pages. The new navigation now includes new sections such as tutorials, resources and arctiles. I say sections as these three are tabs that drop down, the tutorials tab especially drops down into four areas XHTML, CSS, PHP and WordPress then when you highlight either of one of those the categories are displayed, here's a nice image to demostrate:
Although the navigation being a vertical drop down, the new navigation system is not limited to how many levels each tab can drop down to, this is defiantly why I wanted to implement this into the current navigation bar as areas such as tutorials branch out into many different catergories and being able to have multiple levels allows me to display catergory specific areas. In fact if we look at it like this:
Tutorials (1st Level) > CSS (2nd Level) > Effects (3rd Level) there are three levels involved and the new system can produce this.
So now intend of searching for tutorial categories or crawling through archives you can now use the navigation to view specific tutorial catergories. Of course this is not limited to just tutorials, resources are also going to be managed like this. I say are going to be managed because, during the implementation of the new navigation system I have noticed problems with the current catergories that are setup. The tutorial catergories we're fine, but other areas need work and hence you will see coming soon on some navigation tabs. I will be working on getting the catergories sorted very soon, I would do it now but it's getting late and my eyes are starting to hurt! I just recently went to the opticians and had a eye test and I've been told I don't need glasses so I want to keep it that way!
Hope you like the new navigation system that I've implemented in. Any comments or questions about it, feel free to comment on this post!

Looks great, FYI when you go to: Tutorials > WordPress > Links It takes a quick mouse to jump up and over.

Thanks for your comment Ryan, I do see what you mean I think it's because the drop down itself is being displayed more towards the top and therefore your mouse would have to move very quickly. I'll sort this out. Thanks for bringing it to my attenion
