Don’t like Renovatio in Blue?

It's been a while since I last updated the blog with anything, but here is something to break the silence! Look on the navigation bar and to the right, what do you see? Nothing? If so refresh your browser and clear your cache, because you should be seeing a Change colour option along with five different colours to choose from! Back tracking to the beginning of 2009 when the WordPress theme you see before you was first released onto the blog, it had a blue colour scheme, and still does today, but a couple of days ago I go thinking, what if someone who visits James' Blog doesn't like the colour blue, what if they liked green instead. Well with a neat script from Dynamic Drive I've managed to implement a colour change script that will change the colour of certain attributes, such as the header or sidebar title bars.

The script itself simply allows someone to load a different stylesheet over the default one, but I didn't want to load a completly different stylesheet over the actual default, I simply wanted to load a couple of attributes that have a colour change set on them, for example, the header and sidebar title bars change colour when you select a colour from the squares on the navigation bar, other attributes like link colours also change.

Something even cooler is that the script itself will remember what theme colour you selected once you change it, so say if you selected the green colour, it will be remembered, the script remembers what colour you selected via Cookies, however if you clear your cookies the theme colour you selected say green, will revert back to blue which is the default. With the script remembering what theme colour you want it applies this to all pages/posts/articles on James' Blog, meaning you only have to click the theme colour you want once, and then it will be applied to every page you visit.

A small update to James' Blog, and probably nothing to get excited about, but look out for some new articles and tutorials coming soon, I know I keep saying this, but I am quite busy at the moment and don't have the spare time to get writing content, though I have got rough copies of future articles on paper and have planned a couple of great articles and tutorials! So keep checking back!

@James - My blog is good, i'm transferring it to another server right now which is annoying, but has to be done.

@FireG - I don't think there is black because there's already a fair bit in the background/navigation, and there is a hot pink also.

    Nice Andrew

And yeah Black isn't a choice as alot of renovatio uses black, grey and white on the defauly style. Besides theres a nice mix of colours to choose from already, and how can you miss the pink! It's already there!
