IE6 Browser Warning Message Using Conditional comments

Recently I've been talking about Internet Explorer 6 and how support for it is slowly dropping, and soon we will see it disappear for good, but there are still people that use this browser, whether it by choice or that they are forced to, you have to keep in mind that people will view your site in Internet Explorer 6, but these days it is very hard to get modern CSS 2.1 websites to display 100% in Internet Explorer 6 without hacking your code to hell and back. If your a person which doesn't believe in having all these invalid hacks in your code but wants to get the message across saying "This website is not IE6 compatible" then you can use a small script using Conditional comments.

Are you completly destroying your work productivity?

So I've very nearly finished my first year of Sixth Form, and I've done alot of work over the year, but as the 6 weeks holidays approach I looked back on what points I should of been working when in fact I was distracted by various things on my computer or elsewhere, kind of inspired me to create a post on how you could be destroying your work productivity. Are we seeing the end of Internet Explorer 6 support?

Recently YouTube has announced it will be phasing out support for the Internet Explorer 6 Browser, about time! For anyone who is still on this out dated browser (And HAS the choice of upgrading) you really need councilling. I don't get why some people constantly ignore there Windows Update screen which by now will probably be screaming at them to update. What can you possibly benefit from using Internet Explorer 6 compared to Firefox, Internet Explorer 8, Chrome and the rest of them. With that small rant over, I was delighted to read on twitter than YouTube was the next website in the line to say good bye to Internet Explorer 6.

Strange Bandwidth Consumption

A couple of days ago I posted about a bandwidth issues, that had recently been happening. If you didn't read the post click here Bandwidth amount is no longer a problem as I have just bumped my account to 80GB per month, and you'd think wow your not crazy, thats exactly what I think too, but im still using about 4 GB per day, well it's usually around 3.94 GB and does vary slightly, but the usage is very much high.

Internet Explorer 8 and CSS3

In the past month or so I have wrote three articles/tutorials on various CSS3 elements that the developers of CSS3 have been working on, I've shown you some of my favorite new features such as the border-radius attribute and box-shadow, but I have had to stress on each article that only certain browsers will allow to use CSS3 modules and elements. The main two browsers that have supported CSS3 along it's on going development path are Mozilla Firefox and Safari, both using there own frameworks the moz and webkit, with Mozilla constantly making revisions to there browser and currently working on Mozilla Firefox 3.1 (Currently in BETA) alot of CSS3 is supported and able to be displayed, similar with Safari, particularly the latest version of Safari (which is version 4 BETA) packs in more CSS3 into the webkit and like Mozilla people are able to use CSS3 and see the effects.
